Members of the Executive Committee also serve as Trustees, reflecting the Civic Society’s status as a registered charity.

We are pleased to announce that Francesca Day joined as Treasurer in September 2025, and Lester Day has joined as a committee member.

Councillor Margaret King has been appointed as an Honorary Committee Member.

Co-opted members are typically formally elected at the Annual General Meeting held in October. The current co-opted members include Jane Amaral who organises Heritage Open Day, Richard Bielby, Kate Markus and John McKinnie who creates the Civic Society history articles from the Minute Book Project.

In addition to the Committee members, a number of dedicated volunteers contribute to various Civic Society initiatives such as TWIG (conservation of the Thicket), Heritage Open Day, The Local Plan, and more. We greatly appreciate their commitment and hard work.

The Civic Society chairs and works jointly with FoRSIT (Forum for the Regeneration of St Ives Town) which is a collaboration with Town Council, the Town Team, Rotary Society, FEST and other key local organisations and residents.
