Members of the Executive Committee are also Trustees as the Civic Society is a registered charity. There are twelve places on the Board. Membership is as follows. Co-opted members are formally elected at the Annual General Meeting, traditionally held in October.  The two co-opted members for 2024 are Linda Haslett who will take over as Treasurer and Celia Briggs who joins us as Media Adviser.

This Autumn our long-term Treasurer Basil Belcher retires from the Committee, and we all wish to congratulate him on a job extremely well done.  What we came to rely on with Basil is his calm, pragmatic approach coupled with a wry sense of humour that guided us through and made such a huge difference to the Committee. A heartfelt thanks Basil from the Civic Society on your well-deserved retirement.
