The Civic Society was delighted to sponsor the Music on the Waits concert on 30 August, where the audience enjoyed a wonderful mix of opera and pop favourites — including much‑loved melodies from Carmen — alongside classics such as a special performance of Fly Me to the Moon.
James Schouten showcased an impressive range and richness in his voice. The crowd was delighted when he performed a duet with his fiancée Charlotte, whose fabulous vocals added an extra touch of magic to the afternoon.
This concert marked the finale of a super summer programme from St Ives Fest, which ran from 5 July to 30 August and brought an exceptional variety of music to the town.
