The Civic Society had previously donated a picnic bench to the town and it had been positioned along-side The Thicket path, to be used by the many walkers that regularly use that route. Howver the bench had become very dirty, especially over the winter months, and was in much need of a ‘spring claen’. So a few members of the Civic Society spent several hours, equipped with scrubbing brushes, detergent, etc. and returned the bench to a clean and usable condition. The photos below show two of our enthusiastic volunteers!
